Merricks Grove Vineyard

Merricks Grove Vineyard is an 82 acre property at Stanleys Road, Merricks North, on Victorias Mornington Peninsula. Acquired by the Gersh family in 2003, and developed as a private passion, the property has spectacular sweeping views over the vineyard and panoramic views over Westernport, Phillip Island and The Nobbies.

Under the guidance of wine-maker Barnaby Flanders the vineyard has produced various wines under the Garagiste label.

Red Hill Estate produces their award-winning Merricks Grove and Single Estate pinot noir and chardonnay from grapes sourced from the vineyard.

Merricks Grove Residence was designed by renowned Melbourne architectural firm Wood/Marsh and completed in the early stages of 2009. The resulting masterpiece constructed by builder David Coxhell was awarded the coveted Master Builders Association House of the Year” award.

The residence arcs gently across the landscape, following the contours of the land and framing views to the ocean. A pair of curved earth-walls act as a solid, central spine from which smaller, more refined volumes radiate. Thus, various in-betweenspaces are created, providing shelter and intimacy against the often harsh coastal environment.
